1.00 - Initial release
2.00 - Did a complete re-write of the program! For a detailed
list, see the documentation!
2.01 - Ooops! I discovered some minor errors in v2.00! These
errors were cosmetic; v2.00 is quite safe to use! There
were two errors. Firstly, I forgot to include the HELP.MSG
file in with the archive and there was a typo in the
version information screen (press V to view this screen).
It said "Released June xx 1992" - it should have said
"Released June 6th 1992". No big deal! I also changed some
of the Sysop command keys around a bit. Read the docs for
more info. The menus have been re-done and look a lot
nicer! Some of the filenames have been changed. QHOST.USR
has been changed to USER.LST and REMOTE.BAT has been
renamed to DOOR.BAT. This seemed to make more sense to me!
2.10 - The message editor has been improved. Instead of being
limited to 10 lines, and having to press ENTER on the 10th
line to save the message, you can enter up to 100 lines,
and press ENTER on a blank line to save your message.
There is still no word wrap yet, but I am working on it.
If anyone knows how this can be accomplished, or can
provide information on how to write a better message
editor, please let me know. The way QuickHost writes
messages to the log file is now clearer and easier to
read. Cosmetic work has been done to make it look nicer
(such as the "Press F7 for Help" message on the status
bar). A status bar bug has also been fixed. I have my
Telix status bar set for a blue background and a yellow
foreground, like QuickHost's status bar. I changed my
Telix status bar to a red background with a yellow
foreground and noticed that the QuickHost status bar did
not write properly. When you toggle chat on or off,
QuickHost will no longer re-display the main menu. This
was a bit annoying because it would slow you down. Because
of the way this has been done, it is recommended that you
only toggle chat in the main menu. When you toggle chat on
or off, QuickHost moves the cursor to the status bar,
updates it and then goes back to row 23, column 10,
because that is where the "Command: " prompt ends. Doing
this in any other place will cause the cursor to move to
row 23, col. 10, and thus mess up the display. THIS MINOR
BUG WILL NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE OR CRASH THE SYSTEM. Please
see the documentation for more information.
2.11 - There were some minor errors in the v2.10 distribution
package. Two different mailing addresses were listed and
there were some errors in various files. I apologize if
this caused any inconvenience!
